Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana, peeled and cut into chunks not frozen
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey or to taste
  • cup sweetened condensed milk or to taste
  • Cold water or milk as needed to thin it out

Instructions

  • Add pineapples, banana, yogurt, honey, and sweet condensed milk into a large blender. I use a 72-ounce capacity countertop blender.
  • Blend until smooth. Add cold water as needed to thin it out until desired consistency (I add about ¼ cups of water at a time). Serve immediately. Optional: garnish with mint leaves or fresh pineapple.

Notes

  • Use frozen diced pineapple to ensure your smoothies have the right consistency and temperature. You can buy pre-frozen pineapple or freeze your own.
  • Do not add ice to the smoothie, as it can dilute the flavors.
  • Sweet condensed milk: Adds unique, sweet milky flavors. If you prefer to omit it, add more honey instead.
  • Make ahead – Freezing blended smoothies: Transfer blended smoothie into mason jars, leaving about 1 inch at the top. Seal tightly and freeze it for up to 1 month. Thaw in the fridge overnight.
  • Prep ahead – Freeze prepped ingredients: Portion the frozen pineapple and bananas in sealed freezer-friendly bags.

Substitutions and variations:
  • Greek yogurt: Use your favorite yogurt, plain or flavored. If using regular yogurt, which can be thinner than Greek yogurt, use less or to taste.
  • Water: Your favorite milk, coconut water, pineapple juice.
  • Sweet condensed milk: honey.
