Cranberry Grape Sauce
This cranberry grape sauce is the perfect twist to the classic version. The delicate sweet grapes balance out the tartness of the cranberries.
Servings: 4 people
- 2 cups fresh cranberries (or thawed, if frozen)
- 2 cups red grapes
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice, plus more as needed (from about 2-3 oranges)
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Add all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil. Then, reduce heat and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, until thickened and cranberries have burst. The grapes may not burst entirely at this point.
Break a few grapes in half with a spoon if desired for smaller chunks and more sweetness.
Serve warm, or make ahead and reheat when needed. Or serve at room temperature, if desired.
- Use fresh cranberries. If frozen previously, thaw before using.
- For better flavors, use freshly squeezed orange juice.
